The doctor of the Future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent diseases with Nutrition. Hippocrates
Poor Metabolic Health is one of the reasons so many of us are suffering from chronic diseases. Most of the global leading causes of death are preventable by lifestyle changes. Improving Metabolic health is something all of us can do with lifestyle changes.
Good nutrition is an intrinsic part of life. How you eat determines so much of your life, energy levels, and the ability to fight off diseases. However, it’s often one of the first thing to be overlooked when our life gets busy.
We advocate for a whole-food, nutrient-dense approach to eating that can be customized to accommodate individual needs. Whether you’re following a vegetarian, paleo, ketogenic, or Mediterranean-inspired diet, the key is to prioritize real, unprocessed foods that nourish your body from the inside out. We need to go back to eating REAL FOOD– vegetables, eggs, animal protein, fruits, wild-caught seafood, etc., because what we put into our bodies is the most critical decision that we can make for our health.
While processed foods lead you to overeat and still feel hungry, satiety-signaling foods are highly nutritious foods with low-to-moderate calories, leaving you feeling full and satisfied without overeating. Studies have shown that protein and high fiver carbohydrates are the most satiating foods, and eating high amounts of healthy protein increases hormones that signal fullness or satiety and reduces the hormones that signal hunger.
Every time you fed our bodies with real, unprocessed foods that your body recognize; you are giving it the nutrients needs for the best molecular building block. On the other hand, every time you feed you bodies with junk meal prepared with processed, chemical-ridden ingredients, you are giving your bodies with “poison” – A problems that it has to try to deal with before it hurts the body.
Remember! You either start spending your money on real food or sooner or later, your money will be spent in your local hospitals or pharmacies! The choice is yours!
Bio-individuality Approach:
We truly believe that understanding bio-individuality- the unique nutritional needs of each person– is crucial to achieving optimal health. Just as no two people are alike, our nutritional requirements evolve as we journey through different stages of life.
Embracing bio-individuality is one of the best things we can ever do for our health. It’s the concept that each person has specific nutritional requirements based on their genetics, metabolism, environment, ethnicity, ailments, sex, and lifestyle. Simply put, bio-individuality acknowledges that what works for one person may not work for another.
But bio-individuality extends beyond just what we eat—it also encompasses how we eat. Factors such as meal timing, portion sizes, cooking methods, and even the emotional aspect of eating play a role in our overall health. An example of this is – during winter months, when it’s cold and dump, we tend to lean more into warming, comforting and grounding foods, with more healthy fats and proteins, while during the summer or warmer months, we tend to eat lighter foods like juicy fruits and salads.
Even if we all ate the exact same way, we would have different health outcomes. That’s why bio-individuality is so powerful. It focuses on the individual needs, acknowledging that we are all such unique human beings and that there’s truly no “one-size-fits-all” approach to nutrition.
